Delete your GurukulLive account

You can delete your GurukulLive account (formerly VMeet) yourself at any time, in the Android app or on the web. This page explains how, and what happens to your data. Deleting your account can't be undone.

Delete it in the Android app

  1. Open the GurukulLive app and sign in.
  2. Go to More → Settings (or tap your profile picture, then Settings).
  3. Tap Delete account, confirm it's you and type DELETE.

Delete it on the web

  1. Sign in at gurukullive.trinetraailabs.in with the account you want to delete.
  2. Open Settings → Profile and scroll to Delete account.
  3. Select Delete account, confirm it's you and type DELETE.

Confirming it's you

Before the account is deleted we check that it's really you, with one of these:

  • your password, if you signed in with a password;
  • a code we text to the verified phone number on your account;
  • if you signed in with Google or with a code by SMS, a fresh sign-in: sign out, sign in again and delete your account within 10 minutes.

Before you delete

  • School or company accounts. If you sign in with your organization's login (an organization code and a username or roll number), the account belongs to that organization. Ask your school or organization admin to delete it.
  • Organizations you own. If you are the only owner of an organization that other people belong to, transfer ownership to another member (Organization settings → General) or remove the other members first.
  • Paid plans. If you have a paid plan that renews automatically, cancel it in Plan & billing first. It stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

What is deleted

  • Your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, username and password, and your two-factor authentication and recovery codes.
  • Your sign-ins on every device, one-time sign-in links and the push notification registrations of your devices.
  • Your memberships of organizations, and your pending invitations and requests to join.
  • Your personal calendar events, calendar connections and calendar feed link, notifications and notification settings.
  • Your conversations with the GurukulLive Assistant.
  • Upcoming personal meetings you host (outside an organization) are cancelled.
  • Organizations where you are the only member. Their API keys, webhooks, invitations, invite links and scheduled meetings are turned off. The rest of their data (for example recordings and classes) stays until you ask us to erase it: email support@trinetraailabs.com and name the organization.

What is kept

  • Organization records. Classes, meetings, recordings, attendance, chat messages, quiz results and other content in an organization's classes and meetings belong to that organization and stay under its control. Your account appears there as “Deleted user”; your name may still show where it was saved with the content (for example in a chat message).
  • Invoices and payment records, for as long as tax law requires.
  • Security and audit logs (for example sign-in events and the record of this deletion) and support tickets you sent us.
  • Backups. Copies in our database backups are removed as those backups expire, within 35 days.

If you sign up again later with the same email address or phone number, you get a new, empty account.

Can't sign in?

Try “Forgot password?” on the sign-in page, or sign in another way you set up (such as Google). If you still can't get in, email privacy@trinetraailabs.com from the email address on your account (or tell us the phone number on it) and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm the account is yours before deleting it. More about your data: privacy policy.
